About Us

Amanda McMurray has 20+ years of experience of innovation and of building exciting businesses. She helps small and start-up businesses to plan, become established, raise investment or funding and grow, especially where they are based on an innovation in science or technology.

This can be through short one-off projects or through working longer term with clients, as consultant, mentor or as an interim part of your team. It can include support to develop a business case through market research and analysis, strategic planning, preparing for investment or securing project funding.

Apart from her clients, Amanda has a number of specialist advisory roles assessing business propositions for investment, and is a mentor, judge and panel member for various UK and overseas Entrepreneurship programmes, including IGNITE Cambridge, Hughes Hall Cambridge Entrepreneurship Programme and the annual Biotechnology YES Business Plan competition. She is also an active member of the Indian Angel Network.

Amanda’s professional background spans R&D in genomics, Product development in start-up biotechnology businesses, Business Development and Investment Fund Management. Her academic background is in chemistry, molecular biology and bioscience. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, the MBA from the Cass Business School, London, the Investment Management Certificate and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

We also have considerable success in winning competitive grants for clients from both UK and European funding agencies: we understand very well the range of grants available. We will work with you to develop the proposal, usually taking the lead in writing and will guide you in presenting your proposition, project and technology in the best possible way.
